Todesco Gracia Duo

Music is friendship.

The Todesco-Gracia Duo was born in 2011 inside the Bologna Conservatory’s hallways, where Laura and Nicoletta were about to obtain their Master of Music.

After presenting themselves on numerous occasions at the leading music events of the conservatory - such as “3/4 d’ora di Musica” and “Musica in Fiore” - the duet emerged as a recurring presence in Bologna’s musical scene thanks also to the production of actor Gabriele Baldoni. Both Laura and Nicoletta were also founders and active members of the Contemporary Music Ensemble zerocrediti and they performed together in this ensemble for five years.

Upon graduation, the duo intensified concerts outside Bologna, playing on several occasions in Northern Italy, collaborating with the Ar-Men Lighthouse home concerts in Treviso, the city of Pove del Grappa, and “La Jaument” in Calvene. In 2013, the Todesco-Gracia duo performed in Mexico, playing for the Fall Concert Season of the Guadalajara University and receiving the sponsorship of the Chapala city council for a concert in Ajijic.

Three years later, the duo took part in the Aguascalientes Chamber Music Festival, where they received classes from world-class musicians such as Jorge Federico Osorio, the Dorian Wind Quintet, the José White Quartet, and the American String Quartet. During the same year, the duo toured in Mexico, performing in Oaxaca, Aguascalientes and at the Festival Guitarra Viva of Zacatecas.

In January 2020, the Todesco-Gracia Duo performed for the opening concert of the International Festival Traversa in Guanajuato, presenting a program that prioritized works of living composers such as the Mexican composer Maria Granillo and the American guitarist and composer Benjamin Verdery. In February 2024, the duo performed at the Temporada de Guitarra concert season in Mazatlán.

La música no tiene

fronteras, pero sí un

final común:

el amor y la rebeldía.”
